In this project I was tasked to create a time capsule to be opened in 100 years, containing representations of the present.
I played around with the idea of introducing someone in 100 years to my 20 year old self.
I created a laser engraved MDF box that had instructions about the time capsule, which when opened gave a view of 6 3D printed puzzle pieces.
On these puzzle pieces it showed the numbers 1-6 which related to the 3 publications inside the puzzle that were numbered.
The publications are flip books showing different elements that make up 'me' through the use of photography demonstrating my surroundings (beach, home), the people that surround me (friends and family) and the things I am interested in ('my property'). This project created a perfect personal capsule of me at the time, introducing me to someone in 100 years.
It was then buried in my garden where I live with my parents and brothers, adding a personal touch.
